The purpose of the Georgia Center was to provide a central resource for adoptive parents to help them locate resources that would help them be successful in meeting the needs of their adopted children. On July 1, 2004, GACRS expanded its services to meet the needs of both adoptive and foster families who reside in the state of Georgia.
The Nanny/Manny Brigade is a group of volunteers who supervise and befriend children in the Cobb County DFCS office when they first come into care. These volunteers support the DFCS staff by caring for children who are waiting in the office for various other reasons. They support our organization by taking care of the children during FAPA training events, court proceedings and special events.
